Cupcake Chromatography Online Shop Terms and Policies

Thank you for choosing Cupcake Chromatography! We know how annoying “fine print” can be, but because we are committed to ensuring that each customer receives our very best service and understands our terms and policies we have outlined the following terms and policies for our online shop to provide full disclosure, and answer some of the most common questions.

Payments We are proud to accept all major credit cards. Customers can securely pay for items in their cart. However, if your order requires customizations such as creating your own concoction or adding edible art to your order, you may choose to be invoiced after the details have been finalized. Orders have not been officially placed unless they have been paid. Corporate customers may choose to be billed monthly and should contact us at info@cupcakechromatography.com .  We are also able to accept payment by phone. Your balance due date is 30 days prior to your event/ requested delivery date. Your invoice/ receipt is your contract with Cupcake Chromatography for the fulfillment of your order. The contract is null and void if full payment is not made by due date. Cupcake Chromatography reserves the right to add a rush fee to invoices that have not been paid on time if are still able to accommodate the order.

Cancellations and Changes Cupcake Chromatography cannot accept responsibility for changes in personal or business circumstances or commitments that may impact your order. However, we do our best to address unexpected changes on a case by case basis. Making changes to your order after receiving your contract may be subject to additional charges. The date of your payment is the final date to request any changes to your order. Any changes requested after this date cannot be guaranteed. After making your final payment, we are unable to make changes that may reduce your total order value. A full refund will be issued if we cancel your order for any reason.

Refunds, Returns and Replacements If you are not satisfied with your order please save the product as is, and contact us immediately. We are unable to issue refunds or replacement on products that have been consumed or thrown away. Only complaints within 48 hours of package receipt will be eligible for refund or replacement. Customers seeking a refund or replacement will be required to return the product at their own expense. Upon receipt of the damaged product a replacement may be sent to you at no additional cost. Refunds will not exceed the purchase price of the product, excluding shipping.

Shipping Policy All orders are shipped from our Analomink location. We ship Monday - Friday excluding holidays.    During busy periods we may ship on Saturdays. Orders are shipped within 2-3 business days of your purchase so that we can provide you with the best product. In some cases we may be able to process your order and ship it sooner or their may be delays. Bespoke orders  such as Create Your Own or customized orders may carry a longer processing time, however you will be informed of the anticipated shipping date.  

Upon checking out, shipping will be automatically calculated based on the shipping address for your order and the weight of the items to be shipped.  Shipping methods offered are based on your shipping address and you may choose the option that best meets your needs.
The estimated shipping time is the length of time it will take your order to reach you once it has been shipped; it does not include processing time. 

PA Sales Tax Sales taxes is only assessed on non-food products with a billing address within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Customers in all other states are not required to pay sales taxes.

Delivery and Setup Customers may request delivery of their bespoke orders over $500 value from our Cupcake Chromatography's online store. Delivery fees are calculated based on the number of miles from our kitchen and will be outlined outlined on your invoice. You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure environment for your order.  Please keep in mind that cakes require a sturdy surface, and optimal room temperature of 75 degrees F or below. We do our best to transport your order safely, which at times may require set up, or finishing touches at the venue. You will be notified if this is a requirement for your order. A setup fee is charged if you would like us to install elements that you or a 3rd party provides for your cake decor, such as fresh flowers from a florist. As Such requests must be made before final payment is due on your invoice. We are not responsible for any damage to the order after setup is complete. Customers assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves Cupcake Chromatography possession. Allergen and Non-Edible Elements Our dessert products are prepared in a facility where milk, wheat, nuts, soy, eggs and other allergens may also be used. Payment of your invoice in full or part indicates your agreement to notify anyone you share our products with and releases, indemnifies and excludes Cupcake Chromatography and its contractors and employees from any and all liability of any kind. 

Cupcake Chromatography Bespoke Orders Terms and Policies

Thank you for choosing Cupcake Chromatography for your special occasion! We know how annoying “fine print” can be, but because we are committed to ensuring that each customer receives our very best service we have outlined the following terms and policies to provide full disclosure, and answer some of the most common questions.

Pricing and Fees Since each cake incorporates many variables, we use the number of servings and complexity of design elements to calculate pricing. Our minimum order is $200. In addition, we may charge fees for delivery, setup, cutting/serving, equipment rental, and last minute orders.

Bookings and Retainers We invite all prospective and returning customers to complete our Order Request Form online to begin the booking process.  After receiving your submission, you may be contacted for additional details. An invoice, which is your contract with us, will be provided when the details have been finalized, and if we are available for your order. Upon receipt of an invoice, your initial non-refundable retainer of 50% of the order value reserves your event date, and serves as your agreement to the terms and conditions of your order. Performance of this agreement is contingent upon the ability of Cupcake Chromatography to complete the agreement and is subject to labor disputes or strikes, accidents, Acts of God, and other causes beyond our control. We are at times able to accommodate last minute orders; however, we highly recommend submitting your request at least 6 weeks in advance.

Payments and Balances We are proud to accept all major credit cards. Customers can securely pay portions, or their full balances online using the link in their invoice. Corporate customers may inquire about monthly billing.  We are also able to accept payment by phone, as well as business checks. Your balance due date is 30 days prior to your event date. We must receive the balance by the due date indicated on the invoice. Your invoice is your contract with Cupcake Chromatography for the fulfillment of your request. The contract is null and void if full payment is not made by the indicated date, and your retainer will not be refunded. Cupcake Chromatography reserves the right to add a rush fee to invoices that have not been paid on time if we are still able to accommodate the order.

After making your retainer payment, we are unable to make changes that may reduce your total order value. A full refund will be issued if we cancel your order for any reason, and for security deposits on equipment rentals that are returned on time and in original condition.

If you are not satisfied with your order please save the product as is, and contact us immediately. We are unable to issue refunds or replace products that have been consumed or thrown away. Only complaints within 24 hours of delivery will be eligible for refund or replacement consideration. Customers seeking a refund will be required to return the product at their expense. Upon receipt of the damaged product Cupcake Chromatography representatives will perform an inspection to determine if refund or replacement can be provided. Refunds will not exceed 50% of the purchase price of the order, excluding shipping, delivery, equipment rental, setup or other fees.

Equipment Rental If your cake requires equipment and items such as brooches, columns, cake plates, stands or other non-disposable items, a refundable security deposit will be added to your invoice for payment. This security deposit will be refunded in full when the equipment is returned to us in original condition no later than 7 business days after the event date. The security deposit is forfeited if equipment is not returned or if equipment has been damaged.

Delivery and Setup Cupcake Chromatography will deliver your bespoke order to your event location. Delivery fees are calculated based on the number of miles from our Cake Lab and is outlined on your invoice. You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure environment for your order.  Please keep in mind that cakes, especially multi-tiered cakes are heavy, and require a sturdy surface, and optimal room temperature of 75 degrees or below. We do our best to transport your cake safely, which at times may require that the cake is set up, or that finishing touches are added at the venue. You will be notified if this is a requirement for your order. A setup fee is charged if you would like us to install elements that you or a 3rd party provides for your cake decor, such as fresh flowers from a florist, or if you would like us to setup or layout a dessert display. Such requests must be made before final payment is due on your invoice. We are not responsible for any damage to the desserts after setup is complete. If you or your representative choose to collect and set up the desserts yourself, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the products once it leaves Cupcake Chromatography possession.

Allergen and Non-Edible Elements Our products are prepared in a facility where milk, wheat, nuts, soy, eggs and other allergens may also be used. If you choose to use fresh flowers in your decor, please keep in mind that some flowers are not edible, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants that may be harmful to your guests. In addition, many multi-tiered, stacked and sculpted cakes, as well as cake decor elements such as satin or studded ribbons, brooches, sugar flowers and cake toppers may be, or may contain non edible elements such as dowel rods and other internal and structural support. Payment of your invoice in full or part indicates your agreement to notify your guests of these risks, and releases, indemnifies and excludes Cupcake Chromatography and its contractors and employees from any and all liability of any kind.

Cupcake Chromatography Classes Terms and Policies

We're so glad you decided to choose our classes and events! We know "fine print" is annoying, but we're committed to ensuring that we provide you with the best service. We partner with various retailers and educational institutions to offer classes and events at all skill levels, as well as host private classes in public locations and live online. While we work with each location to set general terms, the following policies apply where no terms have been communicated, and specifically for Hobby Lobby locations and online classes.Upon registration, students will be emailed an invoice or provided information to submit payment securely online.  We proudly accept all major credit cards. A supply list will also be provided that indicates what students need for class, if supplies will not be provided. Registration is completed upon successful payment of tuition and any associated fees. A minimum number of students is required to run each class. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel classes due to low enrollment.

Minor Policy All students under age 9 must be accompanied by an adult to assist them in class, unless otherwise specified. All students under age 15 must have an adult PRESENT in or around the store/ location during the entire class in case of emergency.

Payment Policy Payment is due at least 5 days before class. Payment is due upon sign-up for registrations within 5 days of the start of a class. Payment may be made online via credit or debit card or via direct bank transfer. 

Cancellation Policy A full refund will be issued to students if classes are canceled by the instructor for any reason, and student is unable to take the class at an alternative date, or if student cancels up to  7 days before the start of class. Students will receive an 80% refund on cancellations within 6 days of class, 70% within 5 days of class, and 50% within 4 days or less of class. Opportunities to reschedule are not guaranteed, however if available, students are allow one opportunity to reschedule. Students will forfeit 100% of tuition if they do not show up to class, miss or cancel a rescheduled class.  Cupcake Chromatography cannot accept responsibility for changes in students' personal circumstances, health or work commitments.  

Promotions and Sales Occasionally promotions are offered on classes, only one discount may be applied per registration. Discounts or promotions may not be transferred to future bookings. If a customer cancels a class that was booked with a promotion the customer cannot transfer that promotion to another class booking. When a promotion has expired it becomes invalid. We do not take or offer rain-checks on sales or promotions.

Video/ Photography We may take photos and video of the students and their work during classes to assist in marketing activities. However, if you do not want your image to be captured please inform your instructor.

Release of Liability: When participating in a Cupcake Chromatography taught or hosted class or event, whereby students/participants will be in the presence of,  or using sharp or potentially dangerous kitchen utensils and appliances, the student releases, indemnifies and excludes Cupcake Chromatography and its contractors and employees from any and all liability of any kind, for any damage or injury incurred. The students/participants understand these terms and conditions, and accepts the inherent risks of a kitchen and classroom environment when they make a full payment for a class or event. Cupcake Chromatography and it's contractors and employees will take all necessary care, but accepts no responsibility for the damage to, or loss of property left in the venue prior to, during, or after a class or event. Students who choose to share goods, ingredients and tools with each other do so at their own risk. Cupcake Chromatography is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal items, or personal harm in any form. Student/s or event organizers may be held financially responsible for any damages to, or loss of Cupcake Chromatography property during a class or event.

Class Allergy Statement: Products used in classes are prepared and packaged in facilities where milk, wheat, nuts, soy, eggs and other allergens may also be used. By registering for a class/ session students indicate their awareness of the possible presence of allergens and their agreement to notify anyone they share their finished projects with of these risks, and releases, indemnifies and excludes Cupcake Chromatography and its contractors and employees from any and all liability of any kind.

What Type of Information Does Cupcake Chromatography collect?
